A good day.

It was a somewhat good, productive day.
The new scene I was assigned moved very slow, as I try to figure out the right notes to hit.

Reworked some Flight Explorer doodle. I think it's a bit clearer, could still use some works. Quite a few pages of rough left to go.

Listened to Toy Story 3 and Mushi-shi (live action) while working. Tomorrow, may bring Asterix : Mission Cléopatre or Dans Une Galaxie Près de Chez Vous 2 for a bit of french speaking cinema.

All more or less quick doodles.
I need to speed up on colors.

Apologies for all the fanwork. I...I can't help it! I just love playing around with characters that aren't my own (and quite often work related).
How sad is that?
What is it going to be like when I have access to the rest of the cast of that movie?
Or when I'll drink again and DO that Symbionic Titan thing I said I'd do?

Oh goodness, Mushishi!! I've been spending my overnight desk job shifts watching the animated series while I draw, and sometimes write, because it's so beautiful and atmospheric, and it's all available to stream on Netflix. It's good to listen to, sometimes, like a radio show, especially if I know the episode well enough. Truly a wonderful thing, I love that series with my whole heart. <3

I'm thinking of turning to Fullmetal Alchemist next, for sheer nostalgia's sake. Netflix's anime selection is really something marvelous.

Also, I know the feeling about working with other peoples' characters! I'm writing a novel-sized thing at the moment that couldn't even be published, but I'm putting so much work into it anyways because I love it and I love the people in it. I feel proud to think of what I've done so far, and I can't wait to finally finish it and share it with the world. It's not sad at all, creativity and passion, no matter where they come from or what you work with, are the best things ever.

The live action movie was so-so; felt like they were adapting 3-4 episodes in one film, which made for a weird quilt of a story. Still, the concept is interesting and I wouldn't mind watching the anime.

Definitely gotta watch the anime. The music and atmosphere of it all is so calming.
