May 1st = free comic book day!

I'm tired but in a good mood.
Helping for a couple of weeks on another project. Fun characters to draw. Looks like work for the upcoming nights and weekends to get it all done nicely, so before I forget:

If you're in North America, this Saturday May 1st is free comic book day. If you go to your local comic retailer, you should be able to pick up a nice collection of free previews.
My biggest incentive to go is for the Zuko prequel, written by Dave Roman and Alison Wilgus, illustrated by Nina Matsumoto.

Last Airbender

Nina's making her own adaptation of the movie character, and making Dev Patel look good.
Avatar,Last Airbender
(sorry, Dev, I'll always prefer the cartoon, but that takes nothing away from your acting skills).

So if you have the time, get the preview then buy the manga.
Or else the baby panda gets it!

Eh, I needed my dose of Walking Dead. Didn't buy as many as I wanted, there were two issues missing before the current one.
Ha ha, I also wanted more of the preview- Nina draws the nicest movie!Iroh. That nice close up of his face, nice expression.
I'll be a happy reader to get the full book in my hands.

Heh, I was going to buy all the Doctor Who comics but they only had three of them and they weren't even in order. Did manage to score Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men Issue #1 for only a buck though! *Grumbles about X-Men Origins Gambit not coming out til next month*

To be honest I'd never walked into a comic book store before in my life. I mean I've got some old Archie Comics stashed in a box somewhere. And I've got several graphic novels. But comics always confused me. They'll change writers and everything gets shot to hell. I prolly should try to get more into it, but dunno if i can afford it right now.
