Ok, so no drawings...

How could I resist.
Another adaptation, this time from a french BD

Looking good! Jean Dujardin (OSS 117, Brice DeNice) seems to have the character down great. Visuals also look good.
I want to see it!!

ooh GOODY!!!!! :D
I haven't see "Les Daltons" ...but from the trailers, it seems as if they didn't go as far in the "cartooniness" of the film as the Daltons movie did...which I think it is good... I mean, the book had its bits, moments of drama...and that's what made its charm! Lucky Luke is not like Tex Avery's cartoons...!

They kept the joke with the Dollar bill :) I think Pat Poker was one of the first Lucky Luke book I ever read. That, and the one with the charlatan Dr. Doxey.
They've obviously changed a lot of things around, what with bringing Calamity Jane and Jesse James into the picture.

The most recent animated serie was pretty good! A few of the jokes were pretty adult too, ha ha!

Oh my god, I knew nothing about Lucky Luke before this, but now I really want to see this movie!

Shooting a dollar and having it come down as change... It reminds me a lot of Kung Fu Hustle! I hope there's an American release someday. If not... the internet, perhaps?

I wouldn't have though of a Kung Fu Hustle ressemblance, but now that you mention it...
Well, I don't know about a US release, but the chances are good for a canadian one. If it gets released in Canada, chances are good for a DVD and since it would be region 1 like the US...erm.
Anyway, a long roundabout way of saying that there could be a way for it to be available in the US at some point.

I watched a Lucky Luke movie years ago... maybe 2004? 2006?
it was kind of lame D:

There was one previous live action adaptation that had been done that was kind of weak.
As for animated films, a few were good but some were weak too.
This one, at least visually, holds some promise.

yes, it was a live action one. we watched it because my dad insisted. I wanted to watch a series of unfortunate events (which was lame too, but I didn't find that out until a couple of months ago).
I don't think I've ever watched any of the animated ones.

Haven't seen it, though.

Phooey! The French get all the good films! :)

I'd never heard of Lucky Luke before this, but I'll have to check it out. This trailer really makes me wish I spoke French!

Aaawww. Europe makes all the best comic/cartoon to live action adaptations! ;_; They all look so perfectly adorable!
