I'll be going in to work, tomorrow afternoon, to make sure I have files ready in case we need to pitch on Tuesday. It won't be all cleaned up, but presentable.
Will be going for a short visit to Montreal at the end of the month. The end of an era, you might say: I'll be emptying the apartment I have there of my stuff. My parents have been really generous, and have accepted to keep my books for a while...that's over 30 boxes! I don't know where they'll put all of these (not the shed, not the shed!!).
While in Montreal, I'll try and catch this Quebec film that just came out: "Ce Qu'il Faut Pour Vivre" (All you need to live). It's based on a historical event. In the 1950's in Quebec, an Inuit afflicted with Tuberculosis is uprooted from his family and is sent south to be treated. He could be away for more than two years, he doesn't know french, it's a big clash of cultures. There are no real villains in the film, mostly just a quiet look and introspection at two different worlds.
Trailer, in french:
Just previously, Arluk was making a break for it.
Now the pursuit begins...
Yay, Horuk is back. Couldn't have him miss all the fun!
And I'm sending Nauja in the middle of all this chaos simply for fun. Making characters' lives difficult is my job.

I'll assume that you're just making some crazy plot and that Arluk isn't dead because that would be a crime >:c
D:
Haha, oh no not Nauja XC I'm getting all stressed out
Lao's covet!face made me laugh
I don't know if I prefer covet or pouty face Lao. He does both on one page so I guess that's all ok.
But this time I'm with Azula here: Assuming is no proof! *hopes Arluk will survive*
And now Nauja? A few moments later Horuk will join the party as well to see where his daughter is? XD
Oh Lao! Still in love with those little treasures. <3
Well, if Nauja takes her time coming back, you can bet her dad will be going after her.
Lao is even more in love when the objects are not yet his. They are more desirable.
Zhao still seems willing to get a beating as long as there's a pay off in the end.
A part of me really wants to see Nauja braining Fire Nation soldiers with her bag, right and left. But enough of me is logical enough to know the odds are against her, to be rather worried...
Let's hope its rocks.
:D
Yeah for making characters' life more complicated, I do love that school of writing.
(Wee little edits:
http://pics.livejournal.com/rufftoon/pic/000ke5f0 -- "No prisoner" is definitely appropriate for the situation (one running (ex?)friend), but the more common phrase is "no prisoners," and it allows for "and if you meet anyone else, well, you know what to do."
http://pics.livejournal.com/rufftoon/pic/000ksccx -- "I better not" is a bit slangy for
Fire-lordPrincess Azula. "I'd better not" would be more technically correct, I believe.)*goes squee* and goes **EEK** that Nauja is headed there and... crosses her fingers that Zhao's dirty look at the "go check" people is because this is likely to mess with his cunning plan to let/hope Arluk escape(d).
It's kind of hard to do sometimes, especially updating in chunks like this, to keep a certain rhythm in the story.
Things mostly going dark from now on.
Cheers,
Skylark
And many thanks again for all your previous comments. You don't know how I check myself these days, thinking "What would Skylark find that looks wonky". But that's good! Makes me think more! I try anyway, I try.
...right?
Also, lol@Lao.
They might just live to a very old age over there.
WHAT'S HAPPENED TO ARLUK?!
I'm going to die of suspense!
If there had been just one, perhaps Zhao would have done things differently...
In any case, things just keep getting "better." Poor Arluk!
Or chase them to a cliff and throw them down.
